LNG, THE MOST SUSTAINABLE FUEL

Following the European initiative to cut Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions by at least 55% by 2030, known as ‘Fit for 55 package’, Cepsa is developing different alternatives to conventional marine fuels. Among them is LNG, which offers environmental benefits including reductions of up to 25% of CO2 emissions and further reductions of emissions of NOx and particular matter. As of today Cepsa is able to deliver LNG by truck in ports throughout Spain and by barge with OIZMENDI in the Strait of Gibraltar. This vessel is part of the European CORE LNGas Hive project.
