VLSFO Cepsa is not just a fuel oil with a sulfur content of no more than 0.5%. We've designed a specific and truly unique product thanks to our experience in research, bunker and refining, which make our new VLSFO 0.5% a product of the highest quality.
WE MANUFACTURE IN OUR REFINERIES
The New Cepsa´s VLSFO 0.5% is manufactured in our refineries based on specific currents. VLSFO 0.5% complies with the general requirements of Clause 5 of ISO 8217: 2017 as per the characteristics and limits of an RMG 380 but with a maximum sulfur content of 0.5%.
Technical and operational excellence
Thanks to our expertise, we provide value to each phase of the process with a selection of the crudes to use, optimized production and an exhaustive quality control, evaluated by Cepsa’s knowledge about the formulas of fuels with a low sulfur content.
Our VLSFO 0.5% is a fuel that complies with general requirements, the MARPOL regulation and clause 5 of ISO 8217:2017, in accordance with the characteristics and limits of an RMG 380 grade (viscosity, good fuel and low content in cat fines).
We applied our experience in research about stability and compatibility of 0.50% S fuels, carrying out tests (TSE, TSP, TSA, P-value, stain test, etc.) in our Research Center, where the stability of our formulas has been verified in just 2 months.
Our VLSFO has also been used in tests aboard vessels with excellent results, ensuring that its use in motors does not compromise either the safety or operating efficiency of the vessel.
